[SMM Copper Weekly report selected: the market is still short of spot copper transactions around long order negotiations] as of Friday, the index of SMM copper concentrate imports was 61.75 US dollars per tonne, down 1.15 US dollars per tonne from the previous index on November 12. Turnover this week is still scarce, but overall it is slightly better than last week. At present, the spot market is basically dominated by shipments in January and February 2022, but it is difficult for the market to see the shadow of mining traders' transactions, and they are more busy in the long order negotiations next year while executing the long order.

The following is an excerpt from the weekly report of SMM copper industry chain:

As of Friday, SMM imported copper concentrate index (week) of 61.75 U.S. dollars / ton, compared with the previous November 12 index further down 1.15 U.S. dollars / ton. Turnover this week is still scarce, but overall it is slightly better than last week. At present, the spot market is basically dominated by shipments in January and February in 2022, but it has been more difficult for the market to see the shadow of mining traders' transactions, more busy in the long order negotiations next year while implementing the long order; sporadic transactions are basically dominated by mines and smelters, mainly located at the low level of 60 from the actual transaction point of view.

In terms of market news, Antamina Copper and Zinc Mine resumed operation on November 15, 2021, basically relieving the interference of Antamina Copper and Zinc Mine on copper supply. The basic problems of short-term overseas copper mine production come more from the structural tension caused by natural factors and logistics, which does not have much impact on the short-term balance sheet of copper concentrate. Camoa Copper has officially commissioned China Ruilin Engineering and Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "China Ruilin") to provide basic engineering design services for the direct crude copper flash smelter of the Kamoa-Kakoula copper mine, which will integrate cutting-edge technology provided by Metuotutai (Metso Outotec) in Espoo, Finland, and plans to produce 500000 tons of crude copper containing 99% copper per year. The disclosure of the project, although early in market expectations, has made domestic smelters need to start thinking ahead of time about the transformation of the raw material import structure of long-term copper smelters in the future.

EraNova Metals filed an NI 43-101 PEA technical report for its 100%-owned Adanac molybdenum project in Canada. The report confirms the August 6 results without material differences. The proposed 30,000-tpd operation has a 24-year mine life and targets average annual molybdenum output of 11.4 million lb (about 5,171 tonnes), with 270.1 million lb (about 122,515 tonnes) of payable molybdenum over the mine life. Initial capital is estimated at C$953.3 million. EraNova plans to initiate a feasibility study and advance environmental assessment and permitting. The PEA remains preliminary, with no final investment decision or production schedule.

Greenland Resources completed its expanded summer field program at the Malmbjerg molybdenum project. Work covered infrastructure surveys, glacier investigations, RopeCon optimisation and geotechnical inspections. The team also collected 8 tonnes of drill core and 14 tonnes of saline and fresh water for government-supported metallurgical pilot testing. Results will support detailed engineering, key-equipment procurement and construction contracts. On a 100% basis, the feasibility study targets average output of 32.8 million lb (about 14,878 tonnes) of contained molybdenum annually during the first ten years. This remains planned capacity; no final investment or construction decision was announced.

Northcliff Resources filed an updated feasibility study for the Sisson tungsten-molybdenum project in New Brunswick, Canada. On a 100% project basis, reserves total 276.8 million tonnes grading 0.023% molybdenum. The 30,000-tpd project targets average annual output of 4.2 million lb (about 1,905 tonnes) of contained molybdenum over a 27-year mine life. Initial capex is C$1.528 billion. A construction decision is targeted for H2 2027 and operations for 2030. Key environmental approvals are in place, but engineering, financing, offtake and remaining EIA conditions are still outstanding. The project represents potential long-term supply rather than current output.
